North Carolina

Wow, sorry guys I thought I published this a long time ago but I guess it didn't actually go through so here it is now.

I spent two days with my lovely Lovell aunts in Charlotte. We went to Lotta Plantation on Thursday, and Carowinds Amusement park yesterday, so the best of both worlds, I guess. Here's what I learned.
-It's really really hot
-Cheerwine should be sold everywhere I think.
-It rains even when it's hot.
-Humidity makes my hair get really big.
-Lightning
-People like the air conditioning really cold so then you have to go outside wearing as little clothes as possible and bring like five layers if you have to go indoors I really don't understand this.
-There is a restaurant called Cracker Barrel and it has it's own gift shop, why, I don't know.
-I have never ever seen Fox News on television in a public place until now.
-There's a lot of people that just have normal-ish accents but there's also a lot of people who have REALLY THICK southern accents and I only understand half of what they say and I find myself staring at them a lot.

Here are some pictures:

  2. Aunt Lora & I so enjoyed our visit with our Lovely Lovell niece from Humboldt County. Wow! It seems you experienced a lot in just 2 days! That is good! Thanks for posting the photos. I have saved them to my PC.

Re: That there's "a lot of people that just have normal-ish accents" here. That's because you were in the "Big City" (Charlotte is the 35th largest city in the USA.). There's a lot of people here who migrated from the North. If we had taken you out of the city you would have heard mostly Southern accents, many of which would have been thicker than what you heard here Charlotte.
